MITS Alloy Quality: Our Commitment to Excellence
Quality has always been at the core of MITS Alloy’s values. Our approach to quality management is simple: deliver an outstanding product with a great customer experience, every time. Earning the ISO 9001:2015 certification is a natural result of this commitment, and it didn’t happen overnight. We spent months reviewing and refining our internal processes to meet ISO 9001:2015 rigorous requirements.
This journey involved formalising how we work at every level of the company. From initial design and engineering to manufacturing, inspection, and delivery – each step now follows documented procedures to ensure maximum quality and efficiency. We trained our entire team on these standards and built a company-wide culture where quality is everyone’s responsibility.
The MITS Alloy Quality Management System is modelled on AS/NZS 4801:2001, the Australian Standard and New Zealand Standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. Our Quality Management System is also modelled on ISO 14001:2015, a framework for effective environmental management systems which provides assurance to external stakeholders that environmental impact is being measured and improved.
Senior Management is accountable for the effectiveness of the Quality Management System and provides the necessary resources to ensure all business activities supporting these objectives are carried out consistently, as well as ensuring these are regularly monitored, reported and reviewed.
Quality controls are designed and implemented based on the client requirements, legal obligations, and all relevant Standards. Our quality performance and monitoring processes include regular internal audits, subcontractor audits and performance evaluation assessments. We utilise our HSEQ management database to manage non-conformances, risks or opportunities for improvement, and actions captured throughout product realisation.
Most importantly, ISO 9001:2015 is not a one-and-done deal for us; it’s an ongoing commitment. The standard requires us to maintain and continually improve our Quality Management System. That means we regularly review performance, welcome customer feedback, and keep finding new ways to reduce waste or improve results. In short, MITS Alloy quality is excellent today and will be even better tomorrow.
