CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

TRAY & CANOPY FITTER

Due to continued business expansion, we are seeking a licensed automotive mechanic or vehicle accessory fitter to join the team here at MITS Alloy in Newcastle. There are multiple positions available.

Requirements:

PURCHASING & LOGISTICS OFFICER

MITS Alloy is one of Australia’s leading ute tray and canopy manufacturers. Operating from our Mayfield factory in Newcastle, we require an organised, self-motivated and experienced Purchasing & Logistics Officer to join our team. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating prices and procuring stock, monitoring & maintain stock levels, communicating with suppliers and project managers, liaising with freight, couriers and overseeing shipments of inbound and outbound product. This role is a key role within the business and will require the ability to forecast and plan accurately, maintain and review records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices. You will be well organised and possess the ability to operate in a very busy environment often with numerous tasks to be completed on an ongoing basis. 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Inventory management experience
  • Supplier relations
  • Computer literacy essential
  • Fork Lift Licence
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Operations knowledge in manufacturing an advantage


CNC PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR

Due to continued business expansion, we are seeking an experienced press operator to join the team here at MITS Alloy in Newcastle. This is the perfect role for an energetic team player who is consistent and efficient. This position is located at our Mayfield premises at 3/122 Woodstock Street, Mayfield North, Newcastle.

Your day-to-day role will involve:

  • Daily equipment checks and operation of CNC press brake.
  • Interpreting production drawings.
  • Experience with DELUM software.
  • Working within 0.25mm tolerance
  • Critical problem-solving skills.
  • Working closely with the fabrication team to ensure the jobs are in line with the production schedule.

The job has the following requirements.

  • Must have own transport.
  • Must be able to work independently when required.
  • Must have a reasonable level of fitness and the ability to work standing for extended periods.
  • Takes pride in their own work.
  • Attention to detail is a MUST.
